Roman Busts
In the Spring term the children will learn about Roman Busts. Focusing on facial proportion skills by understanding guide lines, symmetry and facial proportions, children will always be amazed that the eyes are half way down the face!
Next, the children will learn how to use clay to create their own Roman Bust by putting a particular focus on using water to smooth the clay, push and pull techniques with the clay to help make a nose and eyes and how other marks can be made by using tools and other objects- butter knife, fork, straw, match stick etc.
