Although it was a week later than anticipated due to 'The Beast from the East' snow conditions, World Book Day was in full flow today!  The children all dressed up as their favourite book character and were able to talk really confidently about their character.  All of the children then explored where, how and who they read to and just why we love reading. 

This was followed by a Mystery Read, where children were able to pick from a book selection and then listen to the book  with a member of staff who had chosen it!!  The most popular were definitely The Hobbit and Gangsta Granny!

During the afternoon the children had an opportunity to take part in the Great British Book Swap!  Those children who chose to bring in a book to swap were able to then pick a book from the swap pile to take home as their own and enjoy!
