Poulner stepping up to help the community- local and international!
Poulner families have once again shown their amazing community spirit! Over the last few weeks children have been asked to take part in gathering together food for Ringwood Foodbank. This was part of the school's larger Harvest Festival celebrations. It helped the children to think about how lucky they were to have food to hand and how there were many others in the world who were not so fortunate.
The school also had a speaker in to talk about the Christmas Shoebox appeal. The children really reflected on the concept of Christmas and how much they take for granted. Kayleigh made a comment in assembly which really made other children think, she said ' I don't write a list for Christmas, I'm just grateful for whatever I get.'
Thanks to our birlliant thoughtful and caring families we have managed to send 52 Christmas Shoeboxes to other children around the world.
Proud at Poulner!!!
