General advice

What did you do at school today?

The most important thing for your child is, of course, plenty of sleep, a good diet and regular attendance at school but how can you involve yourself even further?

Talking to your child about their learning
The often heard reply to "What did you do at school today?" is "nothing!". Some different approaches to try include:
What successes did you have at school today?
What are you learning to write about at school at the moment?
What good questions did you ask at school today?
What are you focussing on improving at the moment?

Remember: If you have any concerns or wish to seek further advice, please do not hesitate to make an appointment to see your child's class teacher.
